Q1: How is international air freight charged? What is chargeable weight?
Air freight is billed by chargeable weight — the greater of actual gross weight or volumetric weight.
Formula: Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 6000.
Example: An 80 kg cargo with 0.6 m³ volume has a volumetric weight of 100 kg; you are billed for 100 kg.
Q2: How long does international air freight take?
Transit times vary by service type and routing. Here are typical reference ranges:
Airport-to-Airport (Direct): 3–5 days (USA, Canada, Europe).
Door-to-Door (incl. clearance & delivery): USA 5–12 days / Canada 8–13 days / Europe 7–13 days.
Note: During peak seasons (Q4, pre-Chinese New Year), space is tight and transit times may extend by 2–4 days. Connecting flights may add 2–5 days.
Airport-to-Airport (A2A): Covers airport-to-airport transport only. Destination clearance, duties, and delivery are arranged by the consignee.
Door-to-Door (DDP/DDU): All-inclusive. Covers pickup, export clearance, air transport, import clearance, duties, and final delivery.
Cost Breakdown: Total price includes air freight and surcharges (fuel, security, airport handling, AWB fees). We provide transparent, all-inclusive quotations with no hidden charges.
